Myself
 I was born and raised in New York City, spending fifteen years in Manhattan's Lower East Side and eight in Queens, before relocating to New Jersey at the age of twenty-three. As a Latina, I was raised with a strong love for my Puerto Rican lineage and a loyalty to the land of my maternal grandparents' birth. Earlier this year, I was reunited with my late father's family, and have begun learning about the Honduran side of my family tree little by little. Personality-wise, my best attributes are assertiveness, ambition, creativity, affection, and loyalty. Despite being rough around the edges, I do prefer the finer things in life. Things of beauty and comfort are important to me. I love to laugh and have no shame admitting that I'm usually easy to amuse. I don't believe in making friends for the sake of making friends. I prefer to make bonds that mean something, and that will last. My interests and hobbies are varied; they include, but are not limited to history, mythology, animals, fitness & exercise, pathology, anatomy, drawing, painting, writing, singing, belly dancing, and wood burning (pyrography). I love to learn, and I love artistic expression. Some of my favorite things include jewelry (especially diamond, white opal, and ruby), quality perfume, makeup, spa days, new clothes & shoes, and tasteful belly dancing costumes. In my relatively short life, I have walked in the shoes of a clerk, a barista, a receptionist, an administrative assistant, and a New York State EMT. Currently, I am an artist, and a massage therapist. One of the biggest blessings to my life is my fiancé, Chris. He's one of my best friends, and the love of my life. We reside in the New Jersey highlands in a lovely home we share with two guinea pigs, Phineas Q. Butterfat & Robert O. Goren, and our gorgeous black Lab mix Layla. Most people aren't aware of it, but I love my life, even on the bad days. | |
